Whether a facility is being constructed in a small rural community or for an NHL franchise, JRV treats its clients equally with an understanding that each endeavor is equally important and of the highest priority to its owner.

JRV has overseen and participated in new construction projects from the groundbreaking to the moment the first skate hits the ice or shoe hits the court. Conducting analytical feasibility studies, building design, financial planning and construction management, equipment purchasing, and implementation of marketing programs, JRV ensures its clients a profitable and timely business venture.

Clients have also turned to JRV when renovating an existing building. When the Minnesota North Stars moved to Dallas in 1993, the Reunion Arena was primarily a basketball arena. JRV aided the Stars in renovating the building to meet NHL requirements by supervising the design, selection and installation, vital to the professional sports franchise's success. Similar consulting was provided at the Palace of Auburn Hills in Michigan when the ownership team of the Detroit Pistons established an IHL franchise in 1994.

While those renovations were for major event, state-of-the-art arenas, JRV has also managed the retrofit of older venues like the University of Michigan's 70-year-old Yost Arena. JRV was able to implement improvements while maintaining the character of the historical building. Serving as Yost Arena's management for eight years, JRV tripled the annual operating income while operating a national ice arena managers' training program.

On a community level, JRV has helped garner success for a number of community-use facility owners and investors. By having a thorough understanding of the industry's intricacies at both a local and national level, JRV helps municipalities determine the feasibility and use of its proposed facility. JRV has successfully designed arenas that meet the demands of its community that subsequently supports the operation.
